Dr. Altesman is a New York State licensed psychiatrist, certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is the former director of Stony Lodge Hospital and the author of numerous journal articles dealing with a wide variety of psychiatric topics.

Raven Aponte, L.M.H.C.

Ms. Aponte is a New York State licensed mentail health counselor with expertise in working with adolescents, adults and older adults using individual and group therapy. She is trained in Cognitice Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Emotional-Focused Therapy. Ms. Aponte has experience working with anxiety disorderss, behavioral issues, adolescent and women's trauma, adjustment issues and depression.

Thomas Arceri, D.S.W.

Thomas Arceri, D.S.W., is a NYS licensed social worker with significant experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment. Dr. Arceri, a trained cognitive therapist, treats individuals suffering from PTSD and addiction disorders, depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation and impulse control problems. He works with individuals, couples, and families.

Dr. Badding is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who received her D.S.W. from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers’ Academy of Certified Social Workers. Dr. Badding treats adults and children. She specializes in working with clients who are depressed or troubled by fears and phobias.

Ms. Becker-Aaron is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who treats adults, adolescents, and families. She specializes in the treatment of addictions, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Ms. Becker-Aaron is an Adelphi University graduate. She has over 20 years in the field of behavioral healthcare.

Shana Beran, Psy. D

Shana Beran, Psy. D. is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate from the George Washington University and post-doctoral training at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut in Stamford. She has extensive background working with children, adolescents and their families, as well as their formal evaluation through psychological testing. Her approach melds psychodynamic training with empirically demonstrated treatment methods. Dr. Beran practices in the Carmel, Yorktown and Putnam Valley offices.

Dr. Butters is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist who treats individuals, couples and families utilizing a cognitive-behavioral and family systems approach. Areas of specialty include: depression, separation/divorce issues, body image problems and serious mental illness.

Gail Brick, L.C.S.W, Psy.D

Dr. Brick is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Masters degree from Columbia University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology. Dr. Brick works with adults, families, couples and adolescents and is trained in a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior (DBT), family systems, psychodynamic, addiction and juvenile sex offender treatment. She is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA). Dr. Brick has over 25 years of experience treating mood and anxiety disorders, family issues, conduct disorder, separation/divorce, custody and co-parenting concerns and juvenile sex offender evaluation and treatment. Dr. Brick works out of the Carmel offices.

Ms. Carmona-Padilla is a New York State licensed social worker with expertise in working with adolescents, adults, and older adults using individual, group, and family therapy. She is trained in evidenced-based practices,including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Mrs. Carmona-Padilla has particular experience working with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Maryellen D'Ambrosio, M.S., P.M.H.N.P., B.C.

Mrs. D'Ambrosio is a New York State licensed Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. D'Ambrosio specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and provides medication management services for an array of psychiatric illnesses including ADHD, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Mrs. D'Ambrosio uses a holistic approach in assisting children, adolescents, and their families in need of behavioral health care. Mrs. D'Ambrosio practices in the Yorktown Office.

Melissa Dominguez, L.M.S.W.

Melissa Dominguez is a bi-lingual, Spanish speaking, New York State Licensed Social Worker. Melissa has experience working with adults, children, adolescents and their families. She utilizes a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, tailored to meet the needs of each individual person she serves. Melissa’s areas of interest and experience include trauma, crisis intervention, anxiety, depression, life transitions and addiction. She is trained in the evidence-based practices, Trauma Systems Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Melissa received her Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and practices out of the Carmel office.

Barbara Downey-Goldwasser, L.C.S.W.-R.

Barbara Downey-Goldwasser is a graduate of NYU's School of Social Work and she is a NYS licensed social worker, with additional NYS CASAC certification in addiction treatment. Ms. Downey-Goldwasser also completed a post-graduate certificate at the Fordham-Marymount in abuse. Her experience has been in working with adults having various mental health needs.

Joyce DiBonaventura, L.C.S.W.

Ms. DiBonaventura, is a New York State licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience treating individuals, couples and families. She has a Master's degree in social work from Hunter College, with four years postgraduate training at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy in Manhattan. She treats late adolescents and adults with a supportive and empathic psychodynamic framework that frequently utilizes behavioral techniques.

Ken Einhorn, Ph. D.

Dr. Einhorn is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist who treats children, adolescents, adults and families. He is trained in evidence-based practices and has had extensive exposure to Multisystemic Treatment, Functional Family Therapy and Treatment Foster Care Oregon. He incorporates cognitive behavioral techniques including Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Social Skills Development in his Solution-Focused treatment approach. Dr. Einhorn additionally conducts psychological evaluations and has experience coordinating with school staff to address in-school behavior, as well expertise in helping parents learn to navigate school systems on behalf of their child.

Ms. Falcon-Johnson is a New York State licensed social worker who treats adults, children, adolescents and families. She received her Master’s degree from New York University and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Maurice Haberman, M.D.

Dr. Haberman is a board certified adult psychiatrist who has practiced psychiatry in a broad array of settings over the past 30 years. He has worked in community mental health centers in the public and private sector as well as in private practice. His current interests are anxiety and mood disorders.

Roxann Intriligator, M.S., R.N.

Roxann Intriligator, Ph.D., R.N., is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist, psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, and certified biofeedback therapist. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and health related disorders using a variety of techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, stress management, relaxation training, mindfulness and biofeedback.

Anne Kelsey is a New York State licensed clinical social worker with experience working with issues such as trauma, identity formation, loss, addiction, sexual harm, depression, and anxiety. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and utilizes evidence-based practices within a relational framework to foster positive change and healing.

Kasey King, L.M.F.T.

Ms. King is a New York State licensed marriage and family therapist who treats children, adolescents, adults, couples and families with a wide array of challenges including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress management, severe mental illness and sexual dysfunction. Ms. King received her Master’s degree from Mercy College and has a certification in sex therapy.

Robbie Len, C.S.W.

Mr. Len is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy with extensive training in psychotherapy. He works with teens, adults, families and couples, treating issues including anxiety, depression, loss and addiction. In addition to his social work degree from New York University, Mr. Len also trained at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in its Family and Couples Treatment therapy program.

Alberto Luna, Ph. D.

Alberto Luna is a Bilingual (Spanish-Speaking) NYS Licensed Psychologist, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and Behavior Support Specialist. He specializes in Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and utilizes empirically-supported and evidence –based curricula and interventions to treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders and numerous other emotional and behavioral disorders. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, and has supported families and parents through Family Therapy and court-mandated supervised visitation. He also conducts psychological and neuropsychological assessments for diagnosing and devising recommendations for ADHD, Autism, as well as emotional, personality, and behavioral disorders.

Ms. Lunceford is a New York State licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has extensive experience in working with people who have experienced trauma of various types, are dealing with issues surrounding grief and loss, and those who struggle with anxiety and depression as a result. Ms. Lunceford received her master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and has over 15 years experience in the mental health profession.

Ms. McWilliam, a New York State licensed social worker, offers experience with children, adolescents, and adults. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therap and Motivational Interviewing. Her areas of interest include issues related to depression, anxiety, panic disorder and attention-deficit disorders. She received her Master of Social Work, with advanced standing, from Fordham University.

Diana Mejias-Bergmeier, Psy. D.

Dr. Mejias-Bergmeier is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist specializing in children, adolescents, and their families. She is trained in a variety of different empirically based treatment approaches including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive therapy. Specific areas of interest include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention deficits, conduct/behavioral problems and trauma. Dr. Mejias-Bergmeier also conducts psychological evaluations for children and adolescents.

Andrew Metz, L.M.S.W.

Mr. Metz is a New York State licensed social worker who has worked with children, couples and families from a humanist perspective utilizing play therapy, talk therapy and relational family therapy for over two decades. He provides an accepting therapeutic milieu for all clients, including those struggling with LGBTQ related issues. He received his Master's degree from New York University and received training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

Claudia Mitchell-Gambino, L.M.H.C., N.C.C.

Claudia Mitchell-Gambino, LMHC, NCC is a New York State licensed mental health counselor and board certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She has worked with individuals ranging in age from 18 - 75+ suffering from severe mental illness, as well as children and adolescents with emotional & behavioral issues. Areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, substance use and trauma & stress disorders.

Sybil Mouzon, M.D.

Dr. Mouzon is a New York State licensed psychiatrist, certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She was Associate Medical Director of Outpatient Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine before joining our staff. Dr. Mouzon treats a broad range of psychiatric disorders, with a special interest in disorders of mood and anxiety. She functions as Carmel Psychiatric Associates' Chief Medical Officer.

Anne Nadig is a licensed clinical social worker who treats adolescents, children and adults. She received her graduate degree from New York University and has post graduate training in family therapy. Anne has extensive experience working with individuals impacted by trauma including physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She is the organization's Administrative Director.

Eryn Payne, L.C.S.W.-R.

Eryn Payne is a New York State licensed clinical social worker specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults. She spent 8 years working as a trauma specialist and has a worked closely with both the Department of Social Services and Family Court. Eryn also specializes with school/social anxiety and has a good rapport with many of the Westchester school districts. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gradual Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness skills.

Laurie Quackenbush is a New York State licensed mental health counselor who graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with a degree in psychological counseling. Mrs. Quackenbush treats children, adolescents, and adults in a supportive environment. She specializes in the use of play therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques to address a variety of mental health struggles including anxiety, depression, attention difficulties, spectrum disorders, deviance/behavioral problems, school issues, and divorce.

Cecilia Rembert, Psy. D.

Dr. Rembert is a New York State licensed psychologist and play therapist specializing in children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Rembert is trained in a variety of different treatment approaches including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Specific areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma. Dr. Rembert also conducts psychological evaluations for children and adolescents.

Joanne Rubin, Ph.D.

Dr. Rubin is New York licensed psychologist who works with adults, couples, families, and children. With 25 years of experience, Dr. Rubin is trained in a variety of treatment approaches including psychodynamic, family systems, Gestalt, cognitive behavioral, and transpersonal. In addition to working with anxiety and depression, she works with adult development issues, such as marital growth, midlife issues, existential and spiritual issues, sex and gender identity issues, and professional development.

Jessica Salvatore is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children, adults, and families. Her treatment approach is strengths based and solution focused. She is also trained in evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has over 12 year experience in working with individuals and groups.

 

Nancy Seery Wilson L.C.S.W.-R.

Ms. Wilson is a NYS licensed clinical social worker, experienced in working with adolescents, adults, children and families. She treats depression and anxiety, grief and loss, divorce and blended/changing families, and substance abuse, addiction and recovery, with specialization in sexual orientation, gender identity, and work with the LGBTQ community. She employs cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems treatment, and solution focused therapies, and works in our Carmel office.

Anthony Sheppard, L.M.S.W.

Mr. Sheppard is a New York State Licensed Social Worker, specializing in children, adolescents, and their families. Mr. Sheppard has been trained in a variety of different treatment approaches including Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family systems and play therapy. Mr. Sheppard has years of child welfare experience, serving children (K-12) with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties. He has chaired and participated on multiple committees, including anti-bullying, trauma-based research, gang violence, working with autistic clients and participated in community efforts in addressing violence in Schools.

Timothy Silva, MSN, B.C.-P.M.H.N.P.

Mr. Silva is a New York State licensed Nurse Practitioner with specialty training in child/adolescent psychiatry who utilizes a family focus to assist in developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Planning may include medication management, psychotherapy, alternative therapies and other interventions. Mr. Silva works in the Carmel office.

Andrew Silverman, L.C.S.W.-R.

 

Jeffrey M. Simon, Ph.D.

Dr. Simon is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in marital and family psychotherapy and behavioral medicine. He has advanced training in biofeedback, a subspecialty in stress-related and anxiety disorders, and frequently works with adolescents. He is a former trustee and board member of the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, a former member of NAPHS's Strategic Planning Committee, and formerly on the Steering Committee of the Council of Behavioral Group Practices and the Executive Committee of the Association of Behavioral Group Practices. He formerly served on the Editorial Advisory Board for Practice Strategies and Managed Behavioral Health News. Dr. Simon is the Executive Director of Carmel Psychological Associates.

Joy Spiegel, L.C.S.W.

Ms. Spiegel is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who graduated Columbia University's MSW program in 1997. She specializes in the use of cognitive-behavioral-therapy in the treatment of anxiety and depression. She has much experience treating women and adolescent girls, often using a family systems approach. She is also skilled in marital therapy, and is well versed in treating a wide ranging patient population. Ms. Spiegel incorporates her formal training with life experiences to help patients who are struggling with major life issues. Using a spiritual approach, Ms. Spiegel helps patients cope with adverse life events.

Gail Streisand, R.N., Ph.D.

Dr. Streisand is a New York State licensed clinical nurse specialist in psychiatry and holds a Ph.D. in psychology. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression with a focus upon issues related to acute and chronic illness, in particular, cancer.

Ms Tortoso is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who treats individuals, couples and families. Drawing on a cognitive behavioral approach, she treats a wide array of psychiatric disorders. She is a Fordham University graduate with over 20 years of experience in behavioral healthcare.

Nancy Lee Tramontana, L.C.S.W.

Nancy graduated with a master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and completed a three year post graduate program at the Family Institute of Westchester. She treats couples, families, adults and adolescents in the Carmel office. She has received training and education in a variety of treatment interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), solution focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and family systems therapy. Nancy treats people with addictions, mood problems, anxiety, trauma and adults and adolescents with AD/HD. She is a gender affirming therapist and a member of WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health). She works with many LGBTQ clients concerning issues of relationships, coming out, self-esteem, sexual intimacy, shame and internalized homophobia and transphobia.

 

Jenevieve Treiser, M.D.

Dr. Treiser is a New York State licensed psychiatrist, certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has received specialized training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. She provides psychiatric assessments and medication management for children, adolescents and adults.

Geneva Vivino, M.S.N., N.P.

Ms. Vivino is a New York State licensed nurse practitioner in psychiatry with specialty training in mood disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and personality disorders. She is certified to prescribe medications and utilizes an eclectic approach to assist adults in need of psychiatric services.

Jodi Weisberger, L.C.S.W.

Mrs. Weisberger is a New York State licensed clinical social worker specializing in treating adolescents, families and adults who may struggle with depression, anxiety, addiction, co-occurring disorders, relationship issues, mood disorders, trauma, death and dying, parental struggles, adoption and behavioral issues. Mrs. Weisberger's treatment approaches include crisis intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and a Strengths based approach using motivational interviewing, mindfulness and social skills development.

She has experience working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavioral issues, trauma, family relational issues, and partner relational issues. Sarah Yanosy, L.M.S.W.

Ms. Yanosy is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who has treated individuals, couples and families for over 20 years. She uses a range of approaches, and specializes in trauma-specific treatment, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy. Ms. Yanosy completed her MSW at Smith College School for Social Work and received post graduate certifications from Fordham, Columbia, and New York Universities.
